Unfortunately, this building is kind of disgusting and the elevators were broken most of lease here. Also the washers and dryers don’t work very well and often have gross messes in and around them that are never cleaned. There were various pest issues that were not addressed and issues with other tenants being loud through the walls, literally to the point of being able to hear abuse through the hallways and management never doing anything about it despite multiple complains from all tenants on the floor and some very creative WiFi names referencing the situation. Also, management would either just not respond to my emails or take multiple weeks. Sometimes I would even have to call them multiple times to reach them about something. Avoid an expensive nightmare and live somewhere else.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The location is very convenient and I love living downtown, however, I’d rather live in the middle of nowhere than in these apartments. One out of two elevators work for 20 floors and there will usually be a line for it, it has been broken all year. There’s ALWAYS a problem with the washing machines and dryers. There are also issues with pests that the office is aware of but refuses to acknowledge. Heat/AC doesn’t turn on automatically, they waited until the middle of May to turn on the AC, despite the high temperatures. Regardless of these issues, they will continue to raise the rent, it’s not worth it.

Edit 9/23: Back to one elevator again. Nothing like waiting in line while waiting for the elevator to go up 20 floors and come back again. No word from management.

9/29: No AC again.

Edit 8/4: The AC for the building is out for the second time this summer for 24 plus hours during a heat advisory. They didn't look at it until Monday.

Unfortunately, all of the negative reviews are true. I recently extended my lease for another year, but in the last month, things continue to go downhill.

They said the elevator was going to be repaired soon, but then go weeks without an update.

They say to report laundry issues to the vendor or to them, but I've gotten no response from either.

They say to reach out when you have an issue, but the last 2 times I reached out, I received no response.

You won't find cheaper living downtown, and there's a reason. It's not normally unbearable, but as we speak the AC is out, and there is no response or update from management. When you call the "emergency number," it is just an answering service. When I called back for an update, they said, "they don't normally respond on weekends."

So now we are dealing with some of the hottest days of the summer with no AC, when the AC isn't that great to begin with.

Add that to the:
-dryer that has not worked for the last year and no response from Wash or Cornerstone
-only 1 elevator in a 20 story building for 6 months (they are working on it, but the timeline keeps dragging out with no updates).
-Front door entry not working properly. Sometimes it's secure, sometimes it's not
-mailroom door is not secure
-abanonded furniture in the hallway and on the stairs

All of these have been mentioned to management with no response or no updates.

Until their response is action instead of words, I can't recommend this building.

Edit: 36 hours later and they finally send a response out to the building. About an hour or so later, cold air started blowing.

3 weeks later they said "oh, we are working on the elevator. Something else needs fixed. Sorry we didn't tell you".

Still on the fence? Read their copy and pasted response that doesn't acknowledge any of what I said above, just the generic response about those topics.

-7/15/24; AC is OK still, elevator still not fixed so still just the one. Mailroom still isn't secure. Still furniture abandoned in the hall.

-7/19: the 2nd elevator seems to be working, but makes most of us nervous because it operates oddly and slowly. They also finally removed the abandoned furniture today. Laundry stuff is still an issue. Wash has been out twice, but there doesn't seem to be a solution.

they'll NEVER have both elevators working, 50% washing machines just steal your money instead of working as intended.

and it's MID MAY AND THEY WON'T SWITCH HEAT TO AIR CONDITIONING. our apartments shouldn't be 85 degrees inside.

Dr Leka, and the entire place in general and their service was kind, helpful, answered all questions. Lacys (my dogs) surgery came out fine, explained indetail what was done, including Lacys after care.
Not to mention Dr Leka called this Mornin askin about how Lacys doin, suggesting some nutrition/food intake to help in her healing & is she holding down her meds.
I really like them caring, aftercare is important. Even though/after they got their dollar. No other Dr./facility in all these years has done that.

It's an old, cheaply constructed building that's slated for demolition. One of the two elevators is usually down and occasionally both are down. The laundry situation is so bad that I bought a portable machine that hooked up to my bathroom sink. However the rent is difficult if not impossible to beat for being downtown and management was very responsive. Unfortunately the cheap rent means you'll deal with the occasional problem neighbor, but most of the residents are great. The 20th floor gym is a nice amenity and I always enjoyed looking through the bookshelves in the laundry rooms on the lower floors. I never had a package or mail stolen when I lived here. I was here for two years until a few months ago and Cornerstone returned my full security deposit after I moved out.

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. The complex is riddled with issues that range from minor annoyances to serious, disruptive shortcomings. One elevator is constantly broken, leaving just one for the whole complex to share (20 floors means waiting forever depending on the time of day). Washers/dryers are old and dangerous and catch fire, and will not be replaced like everything here since the property is cleared for demolition in a couple years. You’ll hear every complaint possible from tenants, be it infestations (mice), leaking ceilings/ac units, stolen property from the mail room or maintenance, and broken garbage disposals, bathroom fans, etc. and management is of little help here. The charm of living downtown is minimal, especially with a lack of security cameras that cover the front entrance. And the parking lot is reserved for baseball games during the summer so expect difficulty even with a parking pass. The list goes on, but ultimately, just find. Somewhere. Else.

EDIT: the elevators have been fixed - temporarily and will likely break again soon - but the front and back entrance key fob readers AND the call box are broken. Don’t buy into the cordial replies by the management company, they’re saving face and do not care about this place. STAY AWAY DO NOT RENT HERE.
