Nina and Lily are phenomenal. I’ve come to M Barbershop every two weeks for almost a decade. They are kind, thorough, and professional. Years ago I brought my daughter with me while I got a haircut and to this day Nina gives me two lollipops to give to my daughter (who is a teenager now!).

As long as I live in northern Virginia, I will come to this barbershop.

I have been going to this barber shop for over 25 years periodically and I have always had the best experience except for this one time in all these years.
I went in for a haircut and there was this hair cutter named Nina.
She sat me down and immediately started chatting with her associates nonstop while cutting my hair. I noticed that my cut was starting to look bad.
I asked her to focus more on my haircut and that she was just talking too much to focus.

Oh boy, wrong choice of words. From that moment, she was deliberately rude and downright violent in clearing my head with the towel. 3 separate times, she kept slapping me in the head with the towel and she claimed she was clearing my head of loose hair. I can agree with that, but she was purposely slapping my forehead very hard every time. I didn't say anything. She didn't even give me the towel n shave treatment they always give. After she said was done, I looked in the mirror and just shook my head saying it was a bad cut.
From this point, she got physically and verbally aggressive and proceeded to berate and yell at me and kick me out of the store. I tried to explain but she didn't give me a chance to talk and just started yelling at me. She even stepped up to my face (a few times) while yelling. I have never felt and seen such anger and violence in someone's eyes as Nina had in hers. It felt as if I had harmed her baby cub, and she was coming for me no matter the cause. If the situation were flipped around and if I did that to her, it would be considered assault. I realized what this could potentially lead to, so I tried my best to keep it under control to not escalate the situation and sucked up a lot of my frustration.

I paid and went out. I sat in the car seeing how bad the cut was, so I went back in to ask another hair cutter (Anna) if she could fix my cut. I showed her where the mistakes were, and she fixed it.

Again, Nina saw and heard this. She came over to my seat and physically tore my cover off and started yelling and kicking me out again. This was my last straw when she ripped off my cover. I told her right away, if you touch me again, I will call the police and immediately she stopped. I truly felt she was going to attack me physically. I wasn't scared but I wasn't going to let her keep harassing me, I had enough of whatever twilight zone movie I was in. It was surreal, I just wanted a haircut.

I got my hair trimmed by Anna and I walked out.
I will NEVER EVER go to this place again. I was physically and verbally abused by this lady just because I told her she was talking too much and messing up my hair.

The irony is that her associate, Anna recognized the mistakes and fixed my cut, while Nina got offended because I commented on her skills as a hair cutter, and she kept saying it was fine and still harassed me.

WORD OF CAUTION, this is a great barber shop but do not get a cut from Nina, or comment on her or she will go ballistic on you. I'm not kidding, she was beyond furious, she was getting downright violent, at a barber shop and for something I am paying for even.

Unbelievable, in 40 plus years of going to barber shops, I have never had such a terrible (even violent) experience as this time.
I always go into a barber shop to relax and get a good cut, but never to get harassed.

Enough said, Sorry for the long review but I could not let this consumer experience go without saying something.

I have been going to this place for the last few years now. This place is always very clean and spick and span. Even the restroom is kept really clean for folks when they need to use it. Nina is the owner of the place and I normally go to her for a haircut. She is awesome and makes sure she follows your direction. Gets you in and out in about 15/20 mins tops with a happy hair cut! I would always recommend this place to anyone.

Finally, I found this best barber shop in the area to have my hair cut. The shop is very clean, the service is excellent very professional and friendly people especially Nina. They really care about their customers. The price is very reasonable and even much more cheaper compared to other shops in the area that I know. I'm very satisfying with my hair cut here and definitely will come back. Highly recommended! Thank you everyone, thank you Nina, please keep doing great job.

Great service and friendly staff. $20 (cash only) for a standard men's cut and neck clean up (foam and straight razor). $25 with tip.
There is a head level mirror that runs across the opposite side of the shop so you can watch if that is your thing. If that's not, there is a large mounted TV that usually has some sort of sports on.
Masks were not required at the time I went.
