I was very selective about who I wanted to hire because I knew some of my bridesmaids wanted a more natural glam… Indigo delivered that and more! They were so easy to work with and my trial with Cat was amazing - she turned my vision into reality. I love that they use clean beauty products and match everything to your skin type, features, and preferences.

I cannot recommend Indigo Beauty enough! They were recommended to me by my wedding planner after I told her I wanted a more natural bridal look. They were so easy to work and communicate with. My mom and I both did a trial run and they were super receptive of any feedback and changes we wanted to make for the actual wedding day. I (the bride) had Alex has my artist and she did amazing. She was personable and fun to work with! I felt beautiful and comfortable all day long. All of my girls loved their hair and makeup too! Thank you Indigo Beauty for an amazing experience! (to add I was super nervous about getting my makeup done because I am picky but it was absolutely perfect!)

I cannot say enough good things about Indigo Beauty Collective. From the trial to the wedding day itself, they were amazing! I typically don't style my hair or wear makeup, so I wanted very natural. It can take a lot for me to be comfortable in makeup and styled hair. Cat was amazing and made sure I felt comfortable and got what I wanted. If I didn't have Cat, I know that I would have not felt as comfortable at my own wedding. The rest of the artists are also amazing and did a great job with my bridesmaids and family members.

My spouse and I worked with Cat for our wedding day. During the trial, Cat was fantastic - they were so kind and willing to try different styles if asked. My partner and I are pretty clueless when it comes to make-up, so Cat was very patient and did a lot of explaining why she did what while applying our makeup. We both looked incredible day of, and Cat was the so instrumental in getting us ready and was full of laughs and stories and good vibes during our (nervous) prep time. Highly recommend Indigo Collective for their incredible stylists and for how welcomed (and for how pretty!) they made us feel.

I do think there are a few concerns people should know if deciding to go with Indigo Beauty. Before explaining those concerns, I want to highlight some positives and say that the team that did my and my wedding party’s hair and makeup was so kind. We really enjoyed talking to them the day of the wedding. I also chose Indigo Beauty because of their mission to be inclusive and provide non-toxic makeup. I really love their ethos.

I was excited to have them as our hair and makeup team, but I feel like the service fell short. I wouldn’t recommend Indigo Beauty if you have long hair that you want curled or if you want winged eyeliner. For my bridal hair, I was hoping to have beautiful curls, but they quickly started to fall out. By the ceremony, my hair was more wavy, and by dinner, this picture was taken, and my hair was almost straight. The picture was from early in the night before dancing and sweating. I have had my hair done many times by other salons without my curls falling out, so I think either product or technique did not work.

Note, I did have my hair curled during the trial, and it fell out then, too. However, it was communicated to me that it would be an easy fix and extra steps would be taken. However, my hair did fall out again. Also, I wanted to have twists in the back, and during the trial, those twists looked like they were falling out. My husband commented on it almost immediately when I got home. I ended up doing more of a braid during the wedding that did work better, though.

The response to the twists falling out during the trial was that it was a “stylistic choice” and that for my curls falling out on the wedding day was that, “all the stops were pulled out” and the team worked very hard. I felt like the response to my feedback tended to feel invalidating, given my experience and the outcomes. For $550, I think it’s reasonable and fair to expect your hair not to fall out, especially on your wedding day.

For the eyeliner, I had it done during the trial, and it was very smudged (see picture). I ended up doing my own eyeliner since I was scared of the smudging happening again, and that was the one part of my hair and makeup that I had compliments on during the wedding. For my hair, I actually had people comment on the day that my hair fell out, which was sad to hear from others.

Overall, for bridal hair and makeup, you want to feel beautiful, supported, and at-ease. I unfortunately did not feel this way.

For my wedding party, I think their hair and makeup did turn out. Although, after talking to a few of them, they shared that at first they were disappointed because it wasn’t exactly what they asked for, but in the end, they decided it worked out fine the way it turned out. My sisters, who were co-maids of honor, had really beautiful hair and makeup, so I’m happy about that.

If you are thinking about doing flower girl hair and makeup, I don’t think it’s worth the $75. I think it’s easy enough to achieve the same results yourself without paying that much for it.

Words cannot describe my happiness with indigo beauty collective!!! Cat did my makeup for my 3 wedding events and Dani joined her for the wedding morning to help doll up my mum and bridesmaids. There is not a single person, guest nor other vendors, who hasn’t commented on how beautiful our makeup looked for the events. Even my new mother in law wishes she had booked them and probably will for the next family wedding! Cat was such a joy to work with and helped me relax before my events with such amazing conversation, and Dani was also loads of fun on a very stressful day! They were both so prompt and so kind. Cat made me feel so beautiful. I couldn’t recommend this company more.

Cat, Danny, & Mandy from Indigo Beauty Collective (shortening this to IBC) did our h/mu at our Airbnb we rented. I cannot rave more about Indigo Beauty. Their whole mission for their company as being a truly natural hair and makeup company really spoke volumes to me. They employ a diverse group of women who work so well together. Their pricing was about average for hair and makeup. Our makeup looked beautiful and natural, I did not want to do airbrush and IBC specializes in enhancing your natural features. The ladies were kind and funny, and Cat was great at running the show and helping all of my ladies and junior bridesmaids feel their best. Everyone loved their makeup, they took time to listen to what the girls wanted. I had a diverse group of bridesmaids and I needed a diversity-minded company to come help us look our best. I just could not be happier with their work. I only have a few photos to share right now, but I hope you can see how WONDERFUL the ladies did and how my hair, makeup, lip color, etc. all stayed around the whole night!!!
