I’ve had a couple good fades from the owner guy, but I went to a different barber today and am extremely disappointed. I asked her for a high skin fade with a hard part line and this is what she did … totally missed where my part actually is and so now I have about half an inch wide strip of hair that’s horribly cut when it should have been long with the rest of my hair. The hair isn’t even the same length all the way back.

Edit: Jose, the owner, reached out and apologized which was very kind, so I changed my review to 4 stars. Like I said, he gives a great fade.

Jose is a legend and excellent barber. After I moved to Philly last year, I was looking for a good haircut for several months, trying different spots in Rittenhouse, Grad Hospital, and Chinatown without success. Thanks to a coworker’s suggestion, I checked out the newly opened Barber Mania 2 located nicely within the residential Grad Hospital area, and Jose and his group have done an excellent job each time. I know I can trust his fades, hard part, and trims, and he even uses a straight razor to clean all edges. Also I never feel like I’m rushed when I’m there.

The prices are more affordable than other hair cutting shops in the area. Booking appointments is also seamless and easy through the website, and when in a pinch, I know I can text Jose to see if a last min slot is available. I can’t recommend Jose and Barber Mania enough, and I always suggest his spot to all my new coworkers.

prices are phenomenal, service is top notch, Jose is a great conversationalist and makes you feel at home while getting your cut. Highly recommend!

Advice: Do click the Appointment button and schedule your haircut etc. They pay careful attention to the bookings, I’ve always been seated on time, and it helps make sure you won’t have to wait a long time.

If you’re wondering why this place has a perfect rating you won’t if you visit haha. This place was amazing. I had a bad cut that I didn’t like before coming in and I told the guy and he immediately fixed my hair up and honestly it was the best haircut I’ve ever gotten hands down. I also just walked in they were welcoming and very sweet. The guys that work there are really nice and he hooked it up he said I got you and he wasn’t kidding. Also everyone’s commenting how my barber did me good today so I’ve been getting compliments ever since. Highly recommend. Better than any in center city and it’s more affordable than the majority of the ones in Philly. This place is a gem

I was looking for a new barber and I found the spot! Not only are they reasonably priced at $30 for a cut, but they truly treat you right! They take their time and make sure you are satisfied! I def found the place to be and go!
