I am very particular when it comes to my hair, I’ve tried different Salons throughout the years and have had good experiences but no stylist has ever done exactly what I wanted or giving me that wow factor. However a family member recommended me to Yarida and let me tell you, she knows exactly what she is doing and is a professional in her craft. I left the shop loving my hair and amazed! I've been going to Sublime for over five years, and I have seen the extraordinary transformation that the owner, Susana, has done to this place. When it comes to staff, I just experienced one of her greatest additions, Mayra. She was knowledgeable, and not only that, she gave me a realistic description of what she would do to my hair during that session. I haven't bleached my hair for almost a year due to pregnancy, and last week's session was essential to me, not only to cover my gray hair but for my self-esteem. When I left the salon, I felt younger and had a big smile because of what Mayra promised she delivered. (picture below)

Growing a business is never easy, so I encourage you to give this place a chance as the owner recently (August 2022) just made some adjustments to her staff, and I see how she continues to level up through the years.

I was here for over a couple of hours getting my hair dyed by Mayra, and i was so impressed on the environment here, as it is so welcoming and comfortable. Everything is clean and Mayra did an amazing job at doing Re coloring my hair. I left the salon so pleased after showing photos of what I wanted , and talking with my stylist, the end result was better than I could have imagined.

Had an amazing experience at Sublime! I went in a for color and decided to add a trim as well. The staff went above and beyond (also offering me water). I’m making this my go-to location for all my salon needs. The color and cut I received were perfect! Highly recommend!!

I always come to sublime for my hair color, cuts and their amazing keratin hair treatments. Susana is great, super friendly and professional.
I've had my makeup done by Rene as well. She is so talented and incredibly bubbly. The salon is always clean and sanitized. I would highly recommend. I've been coming here for over 3 yrs.

Eric cut my son Maxim's hair and it turned out fantastic. Our son does not like clippers or scissors and he is extremely ticklish and he was still able to give him a perfect haircut. He was so nice and gentle. We will definitely be back!

Ive been seeing many great reviews about Susana and some other girls, and I’m sure those are true. However, when I went Im not sure if they gave me someone who was training but she really messed me up and I spent 800+ on two sessions! She said it was because my hair had black box dye, but it shouldn’t have taken 4-5 sessions which she said that’s how much it would take. Even she realized she messed up as she was doing it because she’s like “wow I left it way too orange like a carrot” I ended up going to someone else and they told me she had really messed my hair up and left me with a color I didn’t even need. I got it fixed and with the color I actually wanted and not even damaged at all. I’m not sure if she did this so she could get more money with more sessions but I never went back again. Overall tho, the setting and staff members are nice but if you want to get it done don’t go to “Gris”.

If anyone is looking for a good color/cut/balayage expert i would 10/10 recommend Mayra. i’ve been going only to her to get anything done to my hair for a few years now. i’ve followed her to any salon that she’s been working at. i moved to a town 4 hour away from san jose and will still be traveling down to san jose to see her - truly just a great person and is gifted at what she does. she’s so good with her technique and color mixing to get a good balayage without ruining your hair!! thank you Mayra!! can’t wait for our next appointment.
