Kate Kats made me beautiful and look like the best version of myself for my May, 2024 wedding. Kate was one of the most important vendors who I selected, and I could not be more happier with how I looked on my wedding day.

Kate has a modern style and excellent taste.  All of her brides look absolutely stunning (myself included if I do say so myself), no matter their features or the style that the brides have in mind. I loved how I look in all of my photos, and my eyes were emphasized, but weren't weighed down by makeup.

I got to know Kate during our trial, engagement shoot hair/makeup, and the wedding day. I chose Kate because she has an editorial background and knows what works well in photos. Kate was a great listener and took my preferences to heart. I appreciated that Kat applied her own judgement and taste as well. Kate was also very comfortable with my nerves and always made me feel calmer than when we had first started.

Kate's bread and butter is makeup, but I would be remiss if I did not mention how well she does hair. I knew what I wanted for makeup, but it was harder for me to know how I wanted to style my hair. I did not want anything over the top and wanted a style that was close to how I normally wore my hair so I felt comfortable. Kate helped me find the right balance - ensuring that my hair was out of my face (so that my face was fully open and not obscure my face during photos). I had a hairpiece that Kate placed perfectly in a way that added the right amount of oomph without looking like a Disney princess crown (a look that I did not want).

I hope to have another excuse to work with Kate sometime soon.

Kate is the BEST in the business. She is so passionate about what she does and has a great eye for makeup and hair. I communicated what kind of look I wanted and she was able to execute it to the T (and even enhance it). I wanted a soft-glam look for my wedding and she did a great job of balancing the matte face and glowing eyes that I was hoping for. Kate and I did a trial a couple months before my wedding and she took her time to really understand my preferences. After the trial, she took EXTENSIVE notes with pictures that she subsequently emailed to me so that we could analyze the look more in-depth. On the day of my wedding, Kate showed up to my hotel very early in the morning to make sure I was set for the day. She took her time to refine every detail of my hair and makeup and made sure to make me as comfortable as possible while doing so. She even drove to my venue for touch-ups (after spending a few hours outside) to make sure that the romantic pictures with my husband were PERFECT. Above all her talent for artistry, is her personality. Kate really loves her brides and could not be a bigger advocate on their wedding day. She is easy to talk to and so encouraging. Simultaneously, she is honest and will give her opinion of what the best type of hair/makeup in a professional and respectful manner. It was a VERY difficult hunt to find the perfect makeup and hair artist for my wedding day - most artists were either too arrogant, not confident enough, too overly-pricey for no good reason, or just not talented. When I met Kate, she made it easy to say "yes"! She is reasonably priced for the work she does, she is kind and enthusiastic, and extremely talented! So happy I went with her on my wedding day and wound do so again 100 times over!

Kate was so amazing!! Not only was Kate professional and authentic throughout the whole experience, she was also so friendly and fun. On the wedding day she offered to do two more girl’s hair and makeup which made the experience that much more fun. She made feel absolutely stunning and completely nailed the look I was going for. I happen to come across Kate’s Instagram page and reached out to her for a last minute private hair and makeup session. She responded immediately to my request and continued to stay in contact until the day in which services were needed. Kate made everyone involved feel incredibly comfortable and was open to suggestions. The hair and makeup were as expected and absolutely beautiful. Kate applies makeup in a very natural and complementary way which is well reflected in photographs. Due to the positive first experience with Kate, she was used again for hair and makeup for another occasion. She again applied makeup and styled hair in a way that was elegant and well reflected in photographs. Based on my experience with Kate, I would highly recommend her to anyone needing hair and makeup services, especially since she is open to traveling.
