In April 2018 I attended a 1 night “how to” class with my sister in law. The night was fun and exciting (filled with cheese and wine) and sparked what I’ve always known I loved. Making people feel beautiful through the use of makeup. Over the next year I stayed in touch with Sara Morrison at Makeup HQ. We spoke about what my goals were and Sara really encouraged me to believe in myself and that it was never too late to start a career in the makeup industry. In 2019 I finally built up the courage and began my 10 week course. I was not disappointed. Sara gave us insight into the industry and allowed us the opportunity to meet with other amazing trainers and well known artists. I have met some incredible women and struck up friendships that I admire, including Sara Morrison herself. She encouraged our strengths and nurtured our passions. Thank you Sara ?

I did the 10 week beginners makeup course earlier this year at Makeup HQ. My friend referred me and I'm so glad they did as I have learn so much about technique, products and different face/eye shapes. I learnt a lot about client interaction and how to market myself, which was something I hadn't thought of previously. We had many amazing guest teachers who would share their experiences and skills with us, this was extremely beneficial as every artist has a unique opinion and insight to makeup. Sara is an incredible teacher and has continued to help me with my confidence in this industry. Her passion for makeup is infectious and her attention to detail was always impressive. I've done a 1-1 session which was a great introduction to Sara and the studio but the 10 week courses are defiantly worth it if you want a career in makeup or if you just love it. I wish I was free to do them all the time because I made great friends and my passion and skills has grown. I can't thank Sara and Makeup HQ enough.
